Founded in March 2015, Flytech Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Taiwan, dedicated to the promotion of sustainable development. We aim to better our society by fostering young minds through care for the disadvantaged, technology education, and the promotion of art.
The Chairman of Flytech Technology Co., Ltd Thomas Lam founded the organization, believes it is the corporate responsibility to give back to society, and only through bettering our society can a business truly sustain and thrive. |
WHAT WE DO
Design For TaiwanInspired by Design for America(DFA), DFT is a platform for college students in Taiwan to learn and practice design thinking. We equip students to tackle real world challenges with a daring and innovative approach. Moreover, we want to turn these smart ideas into business models, and hopefully help young adults to succeed in their own start-ups.

We host a 1-year long program of DFT. Our curriculum consists of 4-6 workshops (each 2-3 days). Students are required to carry out project as teams, tackling a specific social issue. With the guidance of teachers and mentors, their final work will be published in an exhibition where professors, designers and enterprises will also participate. More than 200 qualified students from more than 50 universities and colleges across Taiwan have joined us to create positive impact through innovating design.

Industry CampFlytech Technology is the no.1 in Taiwan and no.3 in the world biggest POS hardware design manufacturer. With the powerful resources of Flytech Technology, we want to promote the industrial computer industry, and also help students understand corporate operation and gain practical experience.
We host an 8-day Industry Camp during both summer and winter vacation. Our program allows students to wonder into this leading international company and gives student a tour to the manufacturing production line. Students can also learn about business organization, market & product analysis, R&D, financials and so on. |

Maker CampOur maker camp focuses on middle school students in remote areas such as Taitung and offshore islands Lyudao. We encourage independent thinking and creativity. In the learning-by-doing process, students won’t simply be participants, but planners and executors. With our fun and interesting technology courses, we hope to intrigue students to explore more about digital design software application and equipment. Get ready to roll your sleeves up and think outside the box.

Scholarship TripTo encourage students to strive for academic achievements, we offer scholarships for the under-privileged students in Taitung. We also host a 3-day-2-night trip, where qualified scholarship applicants will get a chance to visit Flytech Technology and other corporate. During this trip, students will also visit places like cultural and creative parks to take in the richness of art and design. We hope this program will help students explore their potentials and broaden their view.
